My Mom’s Saree.
It’s all about mom’s magic & memories.
One lazy Sunday afternoon, fed up of boredom I decided to rearrange my messy treasure of garments, just for it to look organised and neat.
While cleaning, I spotted a box. Precisely packed and beautifully wrapped. Curious enough, I unpacked it.
I found a memory, an elegant piece of art & an emotional attachment.
I found my Mom’s Saree.
Gently wrapped within the sheets,
Was a garment waiting to greet.
To my surprise, it was a magical memory
Which depicted my mom’s story.
Red with golden borders.
Was the colour, it expressed.
Beautiful as it was,
Anyone would have been impressed.
Intricate borders,
Attractive designs
It simply portrayed how mom was.
Her values in it were entwined.
I tried it on myself.
Awestruck was the reaction.
It seemed I looked at Mom.
Just that, it was a reflection.
